Online Launch: Imagine A Better System report
Monday, March 25, 2024 at 03:00 PM
Location
ZoomOur education system is broken. It’s heavily marketised and focused on profit, while students are too often left without the money they need to survive, let alone thrive.
Our first report in this series - Broke Students, Broken System - has outlined how the current education system is letting students down, and in the 25th year of the Scottish Parliament, made the case for why it's time for a new approach.
The second and the latest report we are publishing - Imagine A Better System: ideas beyond borders - looks beyond Scotland to explore other education systems and identify best practice examples in countries comparable to Scotland.
Whether it's about the funding model, student finance, housing, transport or mental health, Imagine A Better System will be a comprehensive piece of research, presenting workable solutions that could be adapted to, and adopted in Scotland.
Join us for the online launch event of our latest report, on Monday 25th at 3pm - so we can imagine a better system, and then build it together.
The event will include a presentation by the report researcher and writer, Catherine Reid, a speech by NUS Scotland President Ellie Gomersall, and other guests. There will also be an opportunity for a Q&A and open discussion. This online event is free and open to all.
