The 2026 Student Manifesto: A fair deal for our future represents the collective voice of students across the nation, calling on all political parties and candidates to commit to a fair future for tertiary education.

Fair funding & good governance in education, including long term public funding increases for colleges and universities.

A new deal for student housing, including rent controls for purpose-built student accommodation

A transport system that get students moving, including free bus transport for all students regardless of age.

A fair and just Scotland for everyone, including national standards in education to prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV).

Education that recognises every journey, including increases in financial support for student parents, carers, estranged students, and care-experienced students.

Good mental health and well-being, including adequate mental health support available to every student

A welcoming Scotland for international students, including a dedicated public body designed to support international students in Scotland.
