When it comes to housing students and apprentices are being treated as an afterthought by the Scottish Government and risk being left out in the cold.  

The upcoming housing bill while a good first step doesn’t regulate student accommodation or address the unfair requirement for guarantors. Housing is housing and a home is a home - student renters deserve as much protection as every tenant. 

Together, let's rally outside the Scottish Parliament on 14th November, and let's make our voices heard loud and clear:

 

Student Rent Controls! No More Guarantors! Don’t cut us out of the Housing Bill!

 
We’re assembling outside the Scottish Parliament with the rally kicking off at 1pm, and we hope to see you there! There will be speeches from the NUS Scotland President, student leaders, activists and others.
